Tatto was great, the book is cheaper by LaserJet than inkjet

As the title says, the Centennial Tattoo was great, though the Klondike Days web site did their level best to make it sound boring. Fortunately, my friend, who had never seen a tattoo before checked out the Nova Scotia International Tattoo and Edinburgh, Scotland tattoo sites and decided to join me in seeing it. We both enjoyed it immensely and regret there will be no video tape or DVD.

When I bought the HP LaserJet 2550 L it said I should be able to print 5,000 pages with a single black toner cartridge which was good news as it cost me $100.00 in Canon inkjet cartridges to print one copy of the book so for $139.00 I should be able to print three copies of the book. Of course, the truth would come out when I actually printed one of the books and, LO!, the result is I WILL be able to print three copies of the book. So by the time I will have printed ten copies, I will have saved the cost of the printer in using toner cartridges rather than inkjet cartridges. A current article at :

says "a thumb rule, Laser printers are generally much more expensive than Inkjet printers" but this experience puts the lie to that. Things have changed over the past few years and I'm glad to take advantage of the new lower prices.

The color cartridges are a similar story so will be able to add more color pages than had been planning so will spruce up the book a lot.
